New Member Breakfast

Join members of the staff and chapter board for our kickoff New Member Breakfast. Learn about benefits of membership, upcoming programs and how you can get involved with CAI. This event is open to all members so stop by for a cup of coffee on Friday!

Where: Chapter Office at Valley Forge Towers, 3000 W. Valley Forge Circle, King of Prussia, PA

CAI and the Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia (AAGP) have formed a historic partnership and have merged our two trade shows into one fantastic event that will bring greater value to attendees as well as exhibitors! The annual conference and expo gives elected leaders of community associations, professional property managers, business partners and homeowners an opportunity to discover new information and resources on how to maintain a quality community and to network with other leaders in the industry.

Managers: Learn Communications 101 

Managing a community association effectively depends on efficient and effective communication methods between the manager, the board and other volunteers, owners and non-owner occupants as well as professionals and service providers. This seminar will review effective communications between all stakeholders in the world of community associations.

When: Tuesday, April 14, 2009Time: 8:30 AM Registration and Continental Breakfast
            9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Program

Where: Plymouth Country Club, 888 Plymouth Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA

Early Bird Registration:   $40 CAI members; $60 non-members. Early bird cutoff: Friday, April 10 at 5:00 PM.

Late Registration:   $45 CAI members; $65 non-members. Late registration is after April 10 or at the door.

*Early bird registration is a registration made and paid for no later than 48 hours in advance of the program. Late registrations who pay the early bird fee will be asked to remit the balance due at the door prior to the program.Managers receive three continuing education credits for attending this course, good towards CAI professional designations. Click here to register.

Boards: CAI's Essentials Class  

The Essentials of Community Association Volunteer Leadership class is an in-depth course for board members to learn about the most current and important issues in community association governance and operations. Topics covered include legal and fiduciary responsibility, finances and financials, problem solving, the importance of the professional team, enforcement of rules and regulations, risk management, and the do's and don'ts of running board meetings.

Who Should Attend:  Community Association Board Members, Trustees, Committee Members, Committee Chairs, Board Candidates, Homewoners interested in the governance of their community

When: Wednesday, May 6th and 13th, 2009
*Attendance on both days is required to receive attendance certificate

Time: 5:30 PM Registration and Light Supper
            6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Class

Where: The Clubhouse at Byers Station Homeowners Association, 1115 Sunderland Ave, Chester Springs, PA 19425. Located Just off Route 100, north of PA Turnpike at Downingtown interchangeRegistration fee includes two evenings of instruction, coursebook and refreshments.

Early Bird Registration:   $70 CAI members; $95 non-members. Early bird cutoff: Friday, May 4 at 5:00 PM.
