Non-Profits & Organizations

Case Study: ACYOA

The ACYOA as a governing body helps promote youth initiatives in the church and community through regional activities and leadership, as well as several overseas programs throughout the year. Having a strong online presence with which to communicate the latest information to their "customer" base was critical, as was having a centralized venue for recapping all of their social community-building events.

Their website had historically been maintained by a volunteer, but they needed something more professionally designed and managed by someone more dedicated to the website industry. They also wanted to take advantage of the Internet as a marketing channel, to promote events and news via email to young adults from Texas to Maine. With many local chapters, they wanted to have a centralized location for leadership info and training.  Lastly, they wanted to be able to easily incorporate the "fun" parts of the organization, namely their annual "Sports Weekend" conference and annual pilgrimage to Armenia.

Shovi Websites built all of this for them, and helped establish some procedures to keep their costs low and update content themselves, but without sacrificing the design and integrity of the site as leadership roles changed hands down the road.

"Without your company's clear and dynamic vision, we could not have prepared the greatest asset that our organization now possesses," said Greg Andonian, Chairman of the ACYOA Central Council. "Your assistance in the preparation of the website not only helped to create this successful website, but it also helped us to organize our thoughts, ideas, and services...In the process of developing the site, you provided us with some useful exercises to identify our organizations' strengths and weaknesses, and spurred some excellent ideas for marketing strategies."
